jefimija jokic @ women, milan. gucci fall winter 2011-12
might not be the casting of the century and she is not (yet) one to put on our favorites-list but first the cast at gucci made a little more sens than many (famous) others, keeping the distinctive aesthetic of the brand alive or just fitting ours a little more closely than what others did. up to you to like or dislike whatever you see, after all. there isn’t more rules for the viewers than there seems to be for the casting processes themselves so let’s stay true to our tastes and forget a little about what has to be hot in general (and let’s forget about this forever if you ask).
gucci’s casting wasn’t perfect of course and if we had to re-do it we’d change a few names for sure but how to strive for perfection when the line up includes so many names? seen much worse than it lately and despite we can’t call it a real performance, there was a little more to cheer up about there at least. jefimija jokic was maybe the girl who made sense there, next to aymeline valade and anna selezneva. something about her that really “says” gucci when many other models elsewhere just “screamed” nonsense. that was worth a few lines and hopefully will help inspiration up enough to finish this show season without getting too close to nervous breakdown. half joking…
